Antonio Senes was born in Bonorva, in the province of Sassari on July 23, 1952. He lives and works in Campagnano di Roma, in 11C Via Quintilio Gentili.
“Young, serious, conscious hypersensitive, sensitive, enthusiast and lover of beautiful, pupilo of the established, cared for and known teacher Gianni Testa” says Francesco Rocco Arena and adds: “The subject deposited with elegance and refinement conquering the depth dimensions, height and horizontality and the all together meets the true wanted unity, as if the hand came directly from above in the tracing of forms to express the force of the world which is a construction of the harmony in the continuous search of the totally beautiful for the purification and elevation of the story of man.” And, as a matter of fact, the creation of Antonio Senes are extremely pure. These are turned on by bright lights which cross the myriad of carefully composed signs. The painter looks at the essential, he takes the most salient information from architecture and images, he holds a point of reference with figured similarity and, therefore, spaces in the geometric sign can let the colour vibrate. Modern ballad-singer, with personal translation, narrates about affections, anxieties, scenery and structures with a fantasy which finds expression in paintings scanned from a meticulous order without losing descriptive vivacity. Among many writings dedicated to the art of Antonio Senes, Maria Teresa Palitta’s phrases seem overly significant to us: “it is the measure of her style, her geniality, these are part of that “transpassable” territory  reached only by means of understanding. The tenderness which emanates from these works of art is something which can be understood only by who knows how to love and understand the laws of the great harmonies in equilibrium”.
Even if the geometric language is used, the conversational language of the lines does not create cold works of art. He always succeeds and filtrates them in a participating heat which makes him different. The director of the newspaper Piramide “in” was also able to notice this, speaking of a particular detail of Senes at the Roman gallery the Minotauro: “the works of art have aroused a live interest in the spectator because of the force almost of collision which springs from the originating lines which arouse fantasy perspectives which are not only architectonic.” It is really a scheming writing which is not necessarily said but can be felt and donated the possibility of diverse lectures, almost a space generously dedicated to every single spectator from the painter for a singularly intimistic participation (Lella Durando).
